While studying abroad in the Tuscany region of Italy, we were tasked with transforming an abondoned market into a performance theater. Having the site so close to the train station provided an opportunity to create a new threshold into the city, as well as a link to the historic city  nearby. From these constraints, we designed an iconic flexible performance hall, which we named the Modern And Visual Arts [MAVA] Theater.
