This is an infographic that I designed and produced myself. The goal of the infographic was to perform the difficult task of describing the opposite scales of the 20-person conference table vs. the 3D printed model. While I was at PACT, we all agreed that photos just didn't do it justice. The infographic not only puts everything to scale, but also describes the complicated task of organizing the model, the time we put into lasercutting and 3D printing, and just how small some of the 3D printed pieces were at a model scale of 1:1600.
While working at PACT Design Studio in Bryan, TX, we built a conference room table for the Office of the Provost, complete with a scale model of Texas A&M's entire campus. I was responsible for writing a grasshopper script to facilitate the mass customization of over 1500 unique buildings, 3D printing those buildings, laser cutting and etching the model base, and the final installation of the model, which measured 5'-0" x 9'-0".
